The Golden State Warriors are coming off a disappointing season as they finished 10th in the Western Conference with a 37-45 record and missed the playoffs for the first time since the 2023-24 season.
Of course, the Warriors had high expectations entering last season with their star trio of Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green leading the way, though they were unable to live up to them.

The main reason for Golden State’s struggles last season were due to injuries as Curry played only 43 games due to injuries while Butler played only 38 games after suffering a torn ACL in January.
While the Warriors are now looking to upgrade their roster during the NBA offseason, they are also hoping for a quick recovery for Butler and the star forward provided an update regarding his ACL rehab Thursday.
Jimmy Butler Provides Update on ACL Rehab
Butler met with the media Thursday where he gave an update on his rehab to ESPN’s Anthony Slater.

In his update, Butler mentioned that he is a month and a half from running and that he believes that he is able to dunk jumping off his left foot, though he has yet to be cleared to land on his right foot.
During his update, Butler also provided encouraging news as he told Slater that he is making good progress in his rehab.
“We’ve been making some incredible progress,” Butler said about his ACL rehab.
This is great news for the Warriors as it appears as though Butler is on schedule in his rehab from his torn ACL.
Despite this, the veteran forward is expected to miss the beginning of the season while recovering from his torn ACL and Golden State has yet to provide a timetable for his return.
Of course, Butler has played a key role for the Warriors since they acquired him from the Miami Heat ahead of the 2024-25 trade deadline.

Before his injury last season, the 36-year-old forward averaged 20.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.4 steals per game while shooting 51.9% from the field and 37.6% from three.
While Butler has been a key piece for the Warriors over the past two seasons, many have speculated about his future with the team as he has been in trade rumors with reports that Golden State could look to add another star.
Either way, it looks as though the star forward’s ACL rehab is going well and he is expected to return at some point next season.
