Dillon Thieneman wasn't the only member of his family who went viral during the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft.
The Chicago Bears selected Thieneman with the 25th overall pick on Thursday night. He racked up 306 tackles, 14 pass breakups, eight interceptions and two forced fumbles during his time at Purdue and Oregon. Now, he'll get to join Dennis Allen's defense in the Windy City.
"Dillon's tape popped out. Just the sense of urgency that he plays with, the play speed … his ability to close on the football, both in the run and the pass stood out really, really quick," Bears general manager Ryan Poles. "The guy's obsessed with football. He's extremely fast, a great leader, violent in the way that he plays the game; everything that we're looking for

Since Thieneman was in Pittsburgh for the 2026 NFL Draft, his family had the chance to speak with ESPN reporter Molly McGrath in the green room.
It didn't take long for Thieneman’s sister, Kiera, to become a social media sensation.
NFL aggregator Dov Kleiman called out Kiera for apparently making unusual facial reactions during her family's interview with ESPN.
NFL fans show support for Thieneman’s sister.
Judging by the responses to Kleiman's post, NFL fans believe Kiera was simply being a supportive sibling.
"She was just happy for her brother," one fan said. "Leave her alone."
"You’re terrible for posting this," a second fan replied. "She looks beautiful btw. Don’t you ever think about how people have feelings and the internet is forever? This girl did nothing wrong!"
"Not the easiest to act “normal” with literal millions and millions of people watching you go through a life altering event," another fan pointed out.
We're certainly hoping the Thieneman family enjoyed their Thursday night in Pittsburgh.
