Caitlin Clark impressed for Team USA in the first game of the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup. Against China, the Indiana Fever star recorded 14 points and 11 assists without a turnover.
Clark made history with her performance, as she became the first player in World Cup history to tally at least 10 assists without turning the ball over. She’s also the first Team USA player in 28 years to record 10 dimes in a single game.
As a result of her performance, Clark was named the Player of the Game.
While it was definitely a memorable showing for Clark, things took a rather concerning turn after the game because of some fans.

When Clark was walking toward the tunnel, there were naturally plenty of fans who wanted to get her autograph. A couple of supporters got lucky and received an autograph from the Fever guard, but many others weren’t as fortunate.
However, instead of just accepting the situation, some fans were so desperate for her signature that they just dropped a couple of shirts on Clark.
The WNBA All-Star was naturally shocked when she saw the shirts just falling toward her.

Some fans expressed concern for Clark and shock over the fans’ actions.
“Don’t throw things at CC please,” a commenter wrote. Another one asked in disbelief, “Are they throwing down jerseys for her to sign on top of her?”
“????” a viewer shared in confusion over what happened.
