San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama is receiving a ton of heat for the way he conducted himself during "The Star-Spangled Banner" on Wednesday night.
As the national anthem was being played at Frost Bank Center, ESPN's camera crew showed Wembanyama standing straight with his arms crossed. Some people believe he had no interest in showing support for America's national anthem because he's from France. Others, however, are convinced he was trying to be disrespectful.
With that being said, a legitimate social media war has emerged due to Wembanyama's lack of emotion.

"I really didn't care about the Championship, now I care just to root against the Spurs," one person wrote on X.
"This is terrible- he should be suspended," a second person suggested.
"If you can't honor the US National Anthem, in a US sport, on US soil, then you need to be fined heavily," another person declared.
"And if I was in France, I’d have my hands down to my side during their national anthem," another social media user argued.
Rough Game 1 for Wemby.
The Spurs came up short in Game 1 against the Knicks in large part because they didn't receive an efficient performance from Wembanyama. He had 26 points on 6-of-21 shooting from the field.
“I’m gonna figure it out. I was bad tonight,” Wembanyama told reporters. “It’s not more complicated than that.”
Game 2 of the NBA Finals is set for Friday night. We'll see if Wembanyama bounces back to even up the series.
