The Vancouver Whitecaps FC and Houston Dynamo FC are set to battle for the top spot in the Western Conference when they meet at BC Place.
Vancouver enters the match at the top of the conference with 37 points, while Houston sits just two points behind in second place with 35 points.
The Whitecaps are coming off a 2-0 away victory over the Seattle Sounders and have been particularly strong defensively at home having conceded only five goals across nine home matches this season.
Meanwhile, Houston heads into the matchup on a four-match winning streak and has not conceded a goal during that run. With the squas in excellent form, Ben Olsen’s side will be confident about taking over the top spot with a win.
Although Jesper Sørensen’s Whitecaps currently lead the Western Conference, they are coming off a disappointing Leagues Cup campaign. Vancouver failed to win any of its three group-stage matches and finished at the bottom of its group with just one point.
