USA Basketball has officially selected its roster for this September's FIBA World Cup.
On Thursday morning, Sue Bird unveiled USA Basketball's roster for the FIBA World Cup in Germany. The star-studded national squad is headlined by a plethora of marquee names, such as Caitlin Clark, Paige Bueckers, Angel Reese and A'ja Wilson.
Team USA's roster will also feature Aliyah Boston, Breanna Stewart, Napheesa Collier, Kelsey Plum, Kahleah Cooper, Rhyne Howard, Chelsea Gray and Jackie Young.
"I'm so excited to announce the 2026 USA Basketball Women's National Team," Bird said in a statement. "This is an incredibly talented group that has earned the opportunity to compete in Berlin. Wearing a USA jersey is a privilege, and I know these 12 players will embrace that responsibility as we go after another gold medal. I can't wait to see what this team accomplishes together."

What are fair expectations for Caitlin Clark?
While it's unclear if she'll start, Clark will undoubtedly make an impact for Team USA. Earlier this year, she won MVP during the FIBA World Cup qualifying tournament in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Despite coming off the bench for Team USA during the World Cup qualifying tournament, Clark averaged 11.6 points and 6.4 assists per game. She also had the team’s top efficiency rating during that five-game stretch.
The FIBA World Cup will take place from September 4-13 in Berlin, Germany.
