The Pittsburgh Steelers had themselves a rough outing Thursday night against the Cleveland Browns, that’s for sure.
During the first quarter of the Steelers-Browns game, Aaron Rodgers screamed at Mike McCarthy to call the offensive plays in time. You can hear him on the hot mic yell, “What the f—? Call it!”
Prime Video’s camera crew then panned over to McCarthy, who fired back with a profanity of his own.
Following the Steelers’ 27-24 loss on Thursday night, McCarthy apologized for his behavior on the sideline.
“Communication sometimes is not the best choice of words, but everybody’s competing on the field,” McCarthy said. “I think what’s said on the field, the way I grew up in this game, usually stays on the field. That’s not the case today. I understand that. But any negative communication on my part, I wish I wouldn’t use those words.”

Rodgers, on the other hand, explained his side to the story without offering an apology to his head coach.
“It was loud,” Rodgers said. “It was definitely a good crowd tonight. It was loud. So some of the calls, it was hard to hear for sure.”
Looking ahead for the Steelers.
Rodgers completed 22 of 40 attempts for 299 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions. He tossed a game-losing interception with one second remaining in regulation.
While a road loss to the Browns is never ideal, the upcoming schedule for the Steelers is pretty favorable. They’ll face the Colts, Buccaneers and Saints before having a rematch with the Browns in Pittsburgh.
Will Rodgers and McCarthy get the train back on the tracks? Only time will tell.
