The U.S. men's hockey team is planning on visiting President Trump during the State of the Union on Tuesday night.
President Trump, 79, invited the gold medal-winning U.S. men's hockey team after they beat Canada on Sunday morning. Team USA topped Canada, 2-1, in overtime. Jack Hughes scored the game-winning goal.
"We’re giving the State of the Union speech on Tuesday night," President Trump said. "I could send a military plane or something, but if you would like to, it’s the coolest night."
He added: "We’ll get Kash (Patel), and we’ll get the military to get you guys over. The nice thing about being President is, I can tell you, you don’t have to worry about the weather or landing."

The U.S. women's team, of course, won gold, too.
But will the U.S. women's team be attending the State of the Union like the men's team? They will not.

The White House did invite the U.S. women to attend the State of the Union, but the American women will not be going.
The U.S. women's hockey team said that they are "sincerely grateful" for the recognition, but the players are unable to attend "due to the timing and previously scheduled academic and professional commitments."
USA Hockey released a statement.
"We are sincerely grateful for the invitation extended to our gold medal–winning U.S. Women’s Hockey Team and deeply appreciate the recognition of their extraordinary achievement...They were honored to be included and are grateful for the acknowledgment."
