U.S. Olympic snowboarder Chloe Kim and Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett are at the peak of their careers, and yet their bond continues to grow stronger. A week after Kim won a historic third Olympic medal at the Winter Games, Garrett earned a major honor of his own.

Garrett closed the 2025 NFL season with one of the most dominant performances in league history, setting the single-season sack record with 23. He surpassed the long-standing mark of 22.5 set by former New York Giants defensive end Michael Strahan and Pittsburgh Steelers star T.J. Watt in the final game of the regular season.

The Browns star also led the league with 33 tackles for loss, added 39 quarterback hits, forced three fumbles and finished with 60 total tackles. His remarkable season earned him unanimous First-Team All-Pro honors and a second AP Defensive Player of the Year award.

In recognition of his achievements, Sports Illustrated fittingly selected him as its latest cover athlete, and Kim couldn’t be happier. Taking to her Instagram story, she wrote, "historic and 😍😍😍...proud proud proud of you!"

Kim and Garrett were first linked in May when they attended an anime event in Japan. They went Instagram official in September and have since been regularly spotted supporting each other at major events, with Garrett most recently traveling to Italy to watch Kim win her third consecutive Olympic medal, this one a silver after golds in the 2018 and 2022 Games, in the women’s halfpipe competition.

In his cover interview with SI, Garrett revealed that he wrote a love poem for Kim and even recited a few lines from it:

"You enrapture fools to kings
and exist without a peer
put on this earth for many things
but our love is why you're here."

Kim admitted she was deeply moved by the “sweet” gesture, revealing that she cried when she first read it. With continued success both on the field and on the snow, the pair is quickly becoming one of sports’ most beloved power couples.
