Whether you love WrestleMania, wrestling in general or hate both, it's hard to deny its status as one of the world's premier entertainment events. Even in a "down year" by some estimates, WrestleMania 42 still had over 100,000 live attendees and over 1 billion estimated social media interactions with it over two days.

For U.S. Senator Bernie Moreno of Ohio, the immense success of the event has him seeing dollar signs for his state.

During a Senate Subcommittee hearing on Capitol Hill discussing the Muhammad Ali Boxing Reform Act being debated, WWE executive Nick Khan spoke to the Senate. At one point during the event, Senator Moreno decided to have a little fun and asked Khan how soon he could get the company to put WrestleMania in Cleveland.

"Mr. Khan, if you could answer a different question -- what is it gonna take to bring WrestleMania to Cleveland, Ohio?" Moreno asked, via TMZ. "2029 or 2030, which one is better for you to bring WrestleMania to Cleveland??"

Khan conceded that it has been a topic lately, having heard that YouTube star and WWE wrestler Logan Paul has been publicly calling for WWE to put WrestleMania in Cleveland on a regular basis.

WrestleMania in Cleveland?

As it stands, Moreno and his friends in Cleveland will probably have to wait until the early-2030s at least to get their wish. WrestleMania is currently booked for Saudi Arabia, Indianapolis and New Orleans over the next three years, and Nashville will also probably have a turn.

There might be other obstacles as well. WWE has always shown a preference for hosting their biggest events at venues where the weather is less likely to be a major factor - either Florida, California or a stadium with a dome.

But that hasn't always been the case. WWE has put on WrestleMania in New Jersey and Philadelphia in just the past 10 years.

Even so, Moreno will be on the back half of his current term before Cleveland is even up for WrestleMania consideration.
