Erling Haaland isn't just leading Norway to uncharted territory at this year's World Cup, he's winning over the hearts of American sports fans.
Haaland put on a show Sunday, scoring two goals in a Round of 16 win over Brazil. Prior to this year's tournament, Norway had never won a World Cup knockout game. Well, the superstar striker from Manchester City has his country in the quarterfinals.
"Maybe this will write history in Norway," Haaland said after Sunday's 2-1 win over Brazil. "Everyone just need to enjoy themselves. This is just an insane day. It's one of the most insane days in Norwegian history. Just enjoy it, embrace it and enjoy the moment."
While there's no question Norwegians are loving every magical moment Haaland has provided during this year's World Cup, it appears some fans are wondering if the 6-foot-5 striker would thrive in other sports.

Would Haaland be perfect for American football?
Judging by some of the comments being made online, Haaland would be quite the tight end if he played in the NFL.
"I often see people wonder why the US has historically been bad at soccer and the answer is pretty simple: if Haaland had grown up in America he would be an NFL tight end or wide receiver right now," one fan said.
"Haaland would be playing Tight End at Iowa if he grew up in America," another fan wrote.
"Prime Rob Gronkowski is the best NFL comparison to Erling Haaland I can think of," one person commented.
It'd be interesting to see Haaland compete against NFL linebackers, but we think he's doing just fine on the pitch.
Haaland will return to the spotlight this Saturday for a showdown with England.
