It’s been an entire offseason plus a full month of NFL football and wide receiver Tyreek Hill is still without a team. But as he continues to keep his phone charged and ready for a big call, he may have given a hint of where he’s heading next.
Taking to X this morning, Hill declared that he’s “ready for some cold weather.” Fans almost instantly assumed that he’s referring to a reunion with the Kansas City Chiefs, his former team from 2016 to 2021.
“I think I’m ready for some cold weather,” he wrote on X.
“Come home Cheetah!!! You know you miss the BBQ,” one fan replied on X.
“Boy, do I have a place for you. I think you might have won and lost a playoff game or two at this place,” another teased.
“Come on Cheetah, you know you miss KC’s cold unpredictable weather and Super Bowl appearances,” wrote a third.
“It gets mighty cold in Kansas City.”

A reunion in the works?
Hill left the Chiefs via a blockbuster trade with the Miami Dolphins in 2022 and over the first two years enjoyed tremendous success with back-to-back seasons of over 1,700 yards, Pro Bowls and First-Team All-Pro appearances.
But the postseason success he had enjoyed in Kansas City didn’t follow him to South Beach and after a down year in 2024, injuries limited him to just four lackluster games in 2025. The Dolphins let him walk amid a rebuild in the 2026 offseason and Hill didn’t do much to find a new team.
With the Chiefs already bringing back Eric Bieniemy – the man who first oversaw Hill’s emergence into an elite wide receiver – as their offensive coordinator, perhaps the stars have aligned for him to rejoin the team that drafted him.
