The Jacksonville Jaguars are in good shape heading into this season, coming off a 13-win season in 2025. Even though they lost some key names like second-team All-Pro Devin Lloyd and running back Travis Etienne Jr., the Jaguars have done a solid job replacing them with players like Chris Rodriguez Jr. and through in-house development. However, even with the improvements they made, there are still two positions the Jaguars need to address if they want to reach their full potential for the 2026 season.
Offensive Line

The biggest question mark for this Jaguars team is along the offensive line. There’s a reason why rookie Emmanuel Pregnon is set to start at left guard and they traded for Daniel Faalele to be his backup. The injury bug hit Jacksonville hard this training camp, and that may have some lingering effects early this season. Starting with the Cleveland Browns and Denver Broncos’ front lines is not ideal for a unit that’s still trying to piece together their best five up front. Mix in two games against the Houston Texans, a road game against the New York Giants and the Eagles, and this line will be tested all season.
Linebacker
Both Ventrell Miller and Branson Combs will be tasked with replacing Lloyd’s production last season next to Foye Oluokun. While neither has Lloyd’s coverage ability, they are good enough that their pass-rush acumen may make up for their shortcomings in coverage. Both Miller and Combs showed they were viable at getting after the quarterback in the preseason, but their lack of coverage ability will put more of a strain on the secondary. If those woes rear their head early in the season, Jacksonville could look to upgrade at the position.
