Tristan Peters added his name alongside one of baseball’s most recognizable legends after a historic five-game stretch for the Chicago White Sox.
Peters recorded at least 10 hits, a home run in each game, multiple doubles, multiple walks and a stolen base during the five-game run, a combination previously matched by Babe Ruth from June 10-14, 1921.
The rookie’s surge came as the White Sox continued their push atop the American League Central, with Peters playing a major role in the club’s recent 10-4 win over the Texas Rangers.
The historical milestone was highlighted by OptaSTATS, which shared the comparison in a post on X.
Peters finished the five-game stretch with 10 hits, five home runs, two doubles, three walks and a stolen base. Ruth recorded 11 hits, five homers, three doubles, four walks and one stolen base during his 1921 stretch.
The five-game home run streak also matched a White Sox rookie franchise record previously set by Munetaka Murakami earlier this season.
Peters has put together a .282/.346/.475 slash line across 128 games in 2026, emerging as an important part of Chicago’s lineup.
His latest stretch has also helped the White Sox maintain their position atop the AL Central. Chicago improved to 70-63 following its 10-4 win over Texas and held a 2.5-game lead over the Cleveland Guardians.

The White Sox will now turn their attention to a critical upcoming series against the Minnesota Twins beginning Aug. 28.
For Peters, however, the latest milestone puts his recent offensive run in rare company. More than a century after Ruth produced his remarkable five-game stretch, the White Sox rookie has become the only other player to reach the same statistical combination.
