Kansas City Chiefs fans have plenty to celebrate. One of the most beloved players in franchise history is coming back for another year.
Travis Kelce put retirement rumors to rest, signing a three-year, $54.7 million deal with the Chiefs to return for his 14th NFL season.
The 36-year-old tight end still has plenty left in the tank. Last season, Kelce led the team in receptions, posting 76 catches for 851 yards and five touchdowns across 17 games.
The Chiefs finished 6-11 in 2025 and missed the playoffs for the first time in over a decade. Kelce's return signals the franchise is ready to bounce back. Arrowhead Stadium will be rocking on opening day, and the Chiefs Kingdom couldn't be happier about it.

Kelce made things official on Tuesday, signing his contract to return to head coach Andy Reid's squad for the 2026 season.
The Chiefs shared a clip of an excited Kelce on their official Instagram page, addressing the fanbase directly.
"See you soon, @killatrav!" the caption read.
The three-time Super Bowl champion replied: "Let's goooooo!!!!!"
That one response was all it took to catch the Chiefs Kingdom’s attention.

With Kelce back at Arrowhead, the Chiefs have a cornerstone in place as they chase another championship run in 2026.
