Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift apparently have some neighborhood drama at their new $5 million home in Cleveland.
Earlier this year, the Kansas City Chiefs purchased a historic lakefront home in Cleveland, close to where he grew up. Kelce, 36, purchased a lakefront mansion in Bratenahl, Ohio, a few miles from where he grew up in Cleveland Heights, for $5.35 million. It’s unlikely that this will be Kelce and Swift’s primary residence, but they’ve already been spotted in Cleveland throughout the offseason.
But there’s already some drama brewing.
According to a report, Kelce and Swift wanted to build a privacy fence around the property – understandable, given their celebrity status – but some neighbors were bothered by the plans, suggesting that the fence could block views of the lake. Travis Kelce’s mom, Donna, would take her kids to the lake to watch the fireworks when they were kids. The proposal for the fence would have it extend all the way to the lakefront, according to reports.
However, things appear to have settled in a good way.
“The issue reportedly became significant enough that Kelce, Swift, and local residents discussed the plans directly. Kelce and Swift’s original concept included fencing that reached the beach, but that portion was later dropped as the sides found common ground,” the report adds.
“The concern was less about Kelce moving into the neighborhood than what the property changes could mean for everyone already living along the water.”

The $5 million home comes with eight bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, a heated pool, a sauna, a fitness center, a wine cellar and more.
The neighborhood is also used to fame and fortune.
“With the views on those lakefront properties? You’d think you’re in Newport. Or California. You’d think you’re anywhere other than Cleveland, Ohio,” one longtime resident of the neighborhood said to The Athletic.

The mayor, Keith Benjamin – a self-described Swiftie – said that the community will be mor than welcoming – and acommodating – to the newlyweds.
“We’re used to this in Bratenahl,” Benjamin said. “Being a welcoming community includes giving people the space to be at home, whether they’re an average resident or the most famous person in the world.”
There are always issues when you buy a new home, but it sounds like Kelce and Swift will get things settled quickly in Cleveland.
For now, though, they are worried about the 2026 NFL season in Kansas City.
