Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift might not be used to rejection, but they were reportedly turned down earlier this month.
TMZ reported at the start of September that Kelce and Swift purchased a 21,000-square-foot mansion in the Cleveland area for $5.35 million. Their property, which was purchased back in March, features eight bedrooms and 11 bathrooms.
According to TMZ, Kelce and Swift wanted to add a fence to their Ohio mansion, but the Bratenahl Architectural Review Board didn’t approve their plans.
Apparently, Kelce and Swift want an 8-foot wall around their new property. The local board’s regulations, however, state that fences with less than 75% openness “shall not exceed 30 inches in height.”

It’s been a tough week for Kelce.
Even though Kelce played a role in the Chiefs’ Week 1 win over the Broncos, he’s been in the headlines for unfortunate reasons this week.
In addition to having his proposed fence shut down by the Bratenahl Architectural Review Board, it was revealed that Kelce was named in federal court Tuesday as one of several victims who was tricked by Siddharth Jawahar.
“According to the feds, Jawahar ran Swiftarc Capital LLC and funneled nearly all of his clients’ money into one investment — Philip Morris Pakistan. When that bet went south, prosecutors say Jawahar lied to investors about how their money was performing … while using new investor cash to pay earlier clients,” TMZ reported. “The feds say he also lived large on the money, splurging on private jets, luxury hotels, restaurants, shopping and pricey apartments.”
Kelce has not commented on his real estate and finances at this time.
