Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs are in training camp looking to avenge the disappointing 2025 season. Superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes missed the rest of the season after a Week 15 ACL tear in a 16-13 loss against the Los Angeles Chargers. Mahomes has since recovered and is expected to be available for Week 1.
Head coach Andy Reid had made a minimum of the AFC Championship Game every year prior with Mahomes as his starting quarterback until 2025, when Kansas City finished the season at 6-11 and No. 3 in the AFC West, missing the playoffs entirely. The Chiefs were awarded the No. 9 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, which they traded with the Cleveland Browns and the No. 6 pick to select LSU Tigers defensive back Mansoor Delane.

Kelce is entering the backside of his career, no longer extending his all-time tight end record of seven consecutive seasons with 1,000 receiving yards. The 36-year-old finished the 2025 season with 76 catches, 851 yards and five touchdowns. This offseason, the seven-time All-Pro married superstar Taylor Swift over the Fourth of July weekend. The high-profile wedding was notably hosted at Madison Square Garden in New York City. As Kelce prepares for his 14th season in the league, fans noticed a change in his appearance.
In a post on the social media website X, the Kansas City Chiefs posted an image and video of Travis Kelce arriving at the training facility, accompanied by a mustache. Fans noticed the change in look immediately.
