As with most Chiefs games that she attends, Taylor Swift went viral for reacting with a “that’s my husband!” towards Travis Kelce during the team’s big win over the Colts. On Wednesday, the Chiefs tight end weighed in on the whole situation.
On the latest episode of his New Heights podcast, Kelce joked that he’s just “gotta make his girl proud.” He certainly did with nine receptions for 101 yards and a touchdown. It was his highest receiving yards total in a regular season game since October 2023.
“Just doing my deed as a husband…” Kelce said proudly. “The internet is having a good old time with this (expletive).”
Fans certainly got enjoyed the moment too and let him know about it on X.
“I was laughing so hard during this segment that my husband texted from another room asking why I was crying!” one user wrote on X.
“This entire family is just a one Huge green flag,” wrote another.
“I have a feeling WE’LL be screaming “that’s HER husband” when these Encore songs release…” a third wrote.

A Hot Start for KC
The Chiefs look like they’ve returned to the dominant form they enjoyed in the first half of the 2020s, with a top-tier offense. Only this time, the team is enjoying a lot more balance thanks to the addition of reigning Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III.
Through two games the Chiefs rank second in the NFL in attempts, yards and yards per attempt.
But Patrick Mahomes is doing his duty as well. The Chiefs rank fifth in the NFL in passing attempts, yards and touchdowns and have committed only one turnover thus far.
And even though the Chiefs defense gave up 30 points in a close-call against the Colts, the defense still ranks third in yards allowed and it a top-10 unit against the pass.
Simply put, it’s beginning to look a lot like the Chiefs are back.
