Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes have been publicly called out in a lawsuit regarding their steakhouse, 1587 Prime, in Kansas City, Missouri.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end and quarterback helped launch a high-class steakhouse in Kansas City, Missouri last year. The name of the steakhouse, obviously, is their two NFL jersey numbers put together. Kelce and Mahomes have often been spotted at the local steakhouse.
However, a sneaker company is suing the restaurant. A lawsuit was filed by 1587 Sneakers in February, accusing Mahomes, 30, Kelce, 36 and their business partners, Noble 33, for trademark infringement. The lawsuit alleges that their name infringes on their use of the identical combination.

However, the two NFL stars - who have won three Super Bowls together - are saying that they aren't really in control of anything at the restaurant. They have made moves to dismiss the case.
"The football stars have claimed they have direct evidence to prove that they hold no direct interest in and are not authorized to exert control over the restaurant, according to the docs. Kelce and Mahomes have moved to dismiss the case," US Weekly shared.
Kelce, Mahomes called out by sneaker company
The sneaker company isn't buying Kelce and Mahomes' explanation, though. They believe they are very much a part of the steakhouse.
"The sneaker company, however, isn't buying it. In the new court docs, Mahomes and Kelce are accused of painting themselves as 'two distant celebrities that are mere promotional 'pretty faces' of the alleged infringing enterprise with no New York ties,'" the report states.
"For now, the case remains ongoing. "
Kelce and Mahomes have been spotted at the restaurant a lot and they have both talked about how fun it is running a popular steakhouse.
