Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs return from their bye week sitting at a perfect 4-0, and the veteran tight end has been a big part of that start. Through four games, he has 16 catches for 246 yards and two touchdowns, including a nine-reception game against the Colts in Week 2.
Off the field, the news has been good too. Garage Beer, the Columbus, Ohio-based light beer brand he co-founded with his brother Jason, landed a $20 million revolving credit facility from Tiger Finance in a deal announced Tuesday, Oct. 13. The financing follows an investment from Durational Capital Management in September 2025.

Sunday’s matchup with the Chargers, though, puts another number in front of Kelce that is worth watching. The Chargers enter 0-5 and are still searching for their first win, setting up a game where the veteran could move closer to a rare career landmark at his position.
Heading into Sunday, Travis Kelce sits at 1,096 career receptions, four short of 1,100. Reaching that number would make him just the third tight end in NFL history to do it, joining Tony Gonzalez (1,325 career catches) and Jason Witten (1,228).
The pace is on his side, since Kelce is averaging four receptions per game this season, and a six-catch day would carry him past Cris Carter’s 1,101 career receptions on the NFL’s all-time list.
Kansas City’s injuries at receiver could give him extra chances to add to that total. Rashee Rice is out with a hamstring injury suffered in the first quarter of the Week 4 win over the Raiders, and Tyquan Thornton is on injured reserve after dislocating his ankle.
That leaves Xavier Worthy, who has 14 catches for 133 yards, working alongside a group of younger receivers.
The Chiefs host the Chargers on Sunday, Oct. 18, at Arrowhead Stadium, with a 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff.
