Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs had arguably their worst season since the tight end joined the team 13 years ago. The Chiefs finished the year on a six-game losing streak, ending with a 6-11 record and missing out on the playoffs entirely. This comes after 10-straight postseason appearances, capped off with three Super Bowl wins in five appearances.
Kelce still showed he had some juice left in the tank in 2025, recording team highs of 76 catches for 851 yards and five touchdowns. Following the season, the former Cincinnati Bearcats star pondered retirement before ultimately electing to return for a 14th NFL season. Kelce then signed a three-year, $54.7 million deal and is set to make $12 million during the 2026 season.

Over the last three seasons, Kelce has also been dating musical icon Taylor Swift. The couple got engaged ahead of the 2025 NFL season, with a wedding date rumored for this summer. Nearly a week after Kelce officially signed his contract, the tight end made his way to the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles to support Swift at the iHeartRadio Music Awards.
Swift was nominated for nine awards at this year’s event and made her first appearance at the show since 2023. Some of her nominations included Artist of the Year, Pop Artist of the Year and Favorite Tour Style. Her song “The Fate of Ophelia” was also nominated for multiple awards, including Song of the Year, Best Lyrics, Best Music Video and Favorite TikTok Dance.
While Swift appeared on the red carpet at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, Kelce appeared to decide against joining her in front of the media. This came as other artists were accompanied by their significant others on the red carpet, including Alex Warren and his wife, Kouvr. However, as expected, Kelce did sit with Swift throughout the show.
"OH MY GOD. Travis Kelce is here," iHeartRadio wrote on X.
While he stayed out of the spotlight on the red carpet, Kelce still made his presence felt by supporting Swift from inside the event.
