Fresh off his wedding to Taylor Swift and subsequent honeymoon, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is ready to get back to football.
On Wednesday, Kelce officially reported to the Chiefs' training camp. It will be his 14th since entering the league as a third-round draft pick in 2013.
"Camp no. 14 for (Travis Kelce)," the team wrote in a video of Kelce arriving at the facility.
One Last Ride?
There was a lot of hand-wringing over Kelce's future at the end of the 2025 NFL season. Despite putting up top-five tight end stats for the Chiefs, there was a clear decline in his effectiveness and the team sometimes suffered for it as they missed the playoffs for the first time in the Patrick Mahomes era.
More importantly, Kelce was out of contract and there was a lot of debate over whether Kelce would sign elsewhere or simply simply retire at the age of 36.

Nevertheless, the Chiefs chose to not only bring Kelce back, but give him a multi-year deal to return to the team. He will be the team's starting tight end in 2026 as the Chiefs try to get back to the playoffs and the Super Bowl.
It's not clear if Kelce truly intends to play out the entirety of that new contract or if he'll treat 2026 as his final year before riding off into the sunset to live happily ever after with Taylor Swift.
