Travis Kelce recently opened up about marrying Taylor Swift, calling their wedding the "best night of my life." Now, one of the NFL legends who attended the star-studded celebration has revealed how he honored a personal request from the couple.
Former New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski attended Swift and Kelce's July 3 wedding at Madison Square Garden alongside his longtime girlfriend, Camille Kostek.
But Gronkowski showed up without one traditional wedding item: a gift.
According to People, there was a simple explanation to the story. Swift and Kelce specifically asked their guests not to bring them anything at all.
Rob Gronkowski Honors Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift's Request
During an interview with NBC Sports, Gronkowski explained that the couple had a "no gifts" policy for their wedding.
The four-time Super Bowl champion decided to respect their wishes rather than finding a way around the unusual request.
It was another interesting detail from a wedding that continues to generate stories more than a month later.
Gronkowski attended alongside Kostek, while his former Patriots teammate Julian Edelman was also part of the celebration. The guest list extended well beyond football, bringing together prominent names from sports and entertainment.
Gronkowski described the celebration as "top notch" and recalled an energetic reception featuring dancing, DJs and magicians.
Kelce Recently Opened Up About Wedding to Swift
The revelation connects directly to Kelce's own comments this week.
Speaking from Chiefs training camp, Kelce publicly discussed the wedding for the first time and called it the best night of his life. The Chiefs star said the July celebration was "crazy" and expressed appreciation for everyone who shared the occasion with the couple.
Swift and Kelce also made headlines immediately before their wedding by donating $26 million across 20 charities, including organizations with connections to Kansas City, New York and other places meaningful to the couple.
Now Kelce is back with the Chiefs preparing for another NFL season.
Gronkowski, meanwhile, can say he followed the bride and groom's directions perfectly.
Sometimes the best wedding gift really is no gift at all.
