Travis Kelce is with the Kansas City Chiefs preparing for his 14th season of professional football as the 2026 NFL regular season draws closer. Kansas City is currently in training camp at the Mosaic Training Fields at Missouri Western State University. The Chiefs’ training camp will end on Thursday in conjunction with Military Appreciation Day.
Kelce is in a league of his own when it comes to active tight-end careers, ranking first in career receiving yards (13,002) and receptions (1,080). The Cleveland Heights High School graduate has been alongside head coach Andy Reid and superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes for all three Super Bowl championships (2020, 2023, 2024).

Although the seven-time All-Pro is no longer extending his NFL-record seven straight 1,000-yard seasons (2016-2022), the 6-foot-5 tight end remains productive, catching 76 passes for 851 yards and five touchdowns in 2025. Coming off an offseason in which the 36-year-old married singer Taylor Swift at a high-profile ceremony at Madison Square Garden over the July 4 weekend, it appears that Kelce is only further invigorated after tying the knot.
On Monday, during a Chiefs practice, KCTV5 News’ Mark Poulose went to the social media website X to post a video of Kelce lining up for a one-on-one drill with newly acquired safety Alohi Gilman. The 11-time Pro Bowler does a couple of shimmies, throwing Gilman in the opposite direction. Kelce blows past Gilman on the route, with the 5-foot-10 safety eventually catching up before it was too late.
Fans were quick to jump on the play, responding in droves.
“You love to see that kind of energy on the field!” wrote one user.
“Jordan’s signature shimmy” said a fan, comparing the tight end to Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan.
“Trav gave Gilman the ole stank-leg” another poster added.
“73 years old and still snatching ankles, that’s my goat right there” hyperbolized a Kelce fan.
“Filthy!!!” a fan raved in reply.
“Let’s GO Big Yeti!!” noted another user.
Kansas City will open the 2026 NFL regular season by hosting the Denver Broncos at Arrowhead Stadium on Monday, Sept. 14, at 8:15 p.m. ET.
