The 2026 Super Bowl 60 is finally upon us, as the New England Patriots host the Seattle Seahawks at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Cali. today at 6:30 p.m. ET. Two dominating defenses, two offenses that can score points. Super Bowl LX is shaping up to be an epic battle that will likely come down to the last score deciding the game.
If you feel like you’ve seen this movie before… well, you have. Following a script out of Hollywood, which is about 340 miles south of Santa Clara, remakes are apparently where it’s at these days. In the original, the Patriots defeated the Seahawks 28-24 in Super Bowl XLIX on February 1, 2015 with a dramatic last-minute interception to seal the deal.
According to the horror movie (and I use horror lightly here) Scream, rules around sequels include everything being bigger, faster and more extreme. Technology is integral (hey refs, use the instant replay options you have available, please!?). And one should expect the opposite of the original, with any legacy characters being expendable.
OK, to be fair: I’m being pretty loose with the reset rules; there were also things about deaths, virgins, identifying killers and more, but we’ll ignore those since this is a football game and not a comic-slasher flick.
With a whole new cast, will we see a plot twist from the original in this remake? I’m not betting on it – literally.
My colleagues at Athlon Sports have given their Super Bowl 60 predictions. This time, it’s my turn to break down the big game, how I’m betting on Super Bowl LX and more. As retired Patriots QB Tom Brady would say, “LFG!”
Super Bowl 60 Odds and Lines
Odds via BetMGM Sportsbook as of 11 a.m. ET, Feb. 8, 2026. Odds subject to change.
- Moneyline: Seahawks -235, Patriots +195
- Spread: Seahawks -4.5 (-110), Patriots +4.5 (+100)
- Total: Over: 45.5 (-110) / Under 45.5 (-110)
New to sports betting?
If you believe in the Seahawks winning outright, a $235 wager on their moneyline would win you $100. There is a lot of sportsbook tax in that wager. If you buy into the Patriots winning outright, a $100 wager on a Pats victory would win you $195.
Want some flexibility? If you’re a believer in the Patriots, betting $100 on their +4.5 spread means an outright win or a loss of four points or less would earn you a $100 bet win. The Seahawks, meanwhile, would need to win by at least five points for a $110 wager to return a $100 payday.
