Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs remained undefeated after Week 6, beating the Los Angeles Chargers 22-6 at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday. With that said, football icon Tom Brady continues to keep them in the top two of his NFL power rankings.
Mahomes and running back Kenneth Walker III led the Chiefs to their fifth straight victory to start the campaign. Mahomes completed 23 of 30 passes for 272 yards, while Walker rushed for 128 yards and two touchdowns.
The Chiefs quarterback made history in the process, as he tied Brady for the fewest starts to reach 100 wins. Both players achieved the milestone mark in 131 games.
Now, in his latest power rankings, Brady kept the Chiefs at No. 2, behind only their fellow undefeated team, the San Francisco 49ers.

Brady, however, was impressed by what he had seen from the 5-0 Chiefs so far, particularly Walker’s performance and the Kansas City defense.
“K9 and the Chiefs ran away with this one to stay undefeated with three wins in the division and four sacks coming from the defense. That’s a huge improvement from a unit that struggled to get pressure. And if K.C. puts all of the pieces together at once, watch out,” Brady said.
The seven-time Super Bowl champion also reacted to Mahomes tying his record, stating, “And Patrick Mahomes tied some old retired guy’s record for the fewest starts to reach 100 wins. We’ll reach out and see if we can get a comment on that.”
The Chiefs will face the Seattle Seahawks next in Week 7. Plenty of eyes will certainly be on Mahomes and company as they try to keep their immaculate record intact.
