Tom Brady is entering Year 3 of his NFL broadcasting career.
The legendary NFL quarterback, who won seven Super Bowls during his playing career, has been working for Fox Sports since the 2024 season. Brady, who signed a $300-plus million contract with Fox Sports, works alongside play-by-play man Kevin Burkhardt, along with sideline reporters Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi.
Brady showed a lot of potential in Year 1, before improving in Year 2. NFL fans are excited to see what he’ll do in his third season.
But critics remain, of course. Many still find analysts like Greg Olsen and Troy Aikman to be superior. Brady is firing back at his critics, though.

Speaking to Richard Deitsch and Austin Karp at Sports Business Journal in a story about the NFL on Fox, Brady fired back at his critics.
“It’s clickbait for people, and it’s something that people have no idea what they’re really glomming onto. They just put it out there in the world and see what sticks. So to me, I just focus on what I need to do to be prepared. That’s what I did as a player, and I go out there every week as a broadcaster and try to do the same thing,” Brady said.
“I have a lot to prove to myself, to my teammates. I have a lot to prove to the executives. I want to go earn it, and I don’t want anything given to me. I hope they’ll have me through the end of this contract. I love getting to enjoy the game. I love watching good football. There’s such great camaraderie and chemistry we all have together. We have seminars. We have off-site retreats. We have text threads with all of us. It feels like a big family in so many ways, and I was not really expecting that when I decided to take the job.”
Brady is certainly criticizable, as he still has plenty of work to do to be an elite broadcaster, but it seems like he’s taking a strong mindset heading into the fall.
Week 1 begins on Wednesday night, when the Patriots will face the Seahawks in Seattle.
