Myles Garrett has been dominant since being drafted by the Cleveland Browns with the No. 1 pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. In nine seasons, he's earned seven Pro Bowl selections, been named First-Team All-Pro five times and won Defensive Player of the Year twice.
He has been a consistent threat for the Browns, who have made the playoffs just twice since he entered the NFL. The defensive end is undergoing yet another coaching change, with Todd Monken replacing the fired Kevin Stefanski.
Cleveland is getting to work under Monken, undergoing their first round of voluntary OTA offseason workouts from Tuesday to Thursday. However, Garrett opted not to attend these practices.
In fact, on Wednesday, Monken was asked if he'd even met Garrett yet, simply answering "No."
The Browns hired Monken on Jan. 28, meaning the two have had nearly four months to meet. Their failure to do so is leaving some fans upset.
"Your new head coach not even meeting the best defensive player in the history of your franchise is some way to set a tone," one X user wrote.
"Not sure whether to clown Todd, Myles, or both," said another
"This is insane by Myles. Monken has been hired for over 2 months, and you haven't decided to meet the dude?" a third added.
A fourth stated, "Why, wouldn’t he have met Myles Garrett yet very strange."
"He looks at the reporter like he is the one who is insane. New HC not meeting with the teams best player 4 months in is otherworldly inept," a fifth continued.
"This team just isn’t real," said another.

Barring a trade, though, Garrett's future is in Cleveland. Last offseason, he signed a four-year, $160 million extension that runs through the 2030 season. Even if the Browns wanted to offload the pass rusher, it would likely take multiple first-round picks, not something every team is willing to give up.
It's also worth noting that these OTA workouts are voluntary, and Garrett is not obligated to attend. However, if he is still absent and has not met Monken once, Cleveland begins mandatory minicamp on June 9, and trade speculation will spread quickly.
