Longtime NFL draft analyst Todd McShay has been predicting (or perhaps trying to manifest) Texas QB Arch Manning transferring after this season for a while now. With that proposition seemingly more likely with each loss, McShay has presented his idea of where the Manning family scion should go next.
Appearing on The Ryen Russillo Show, McShay initially stated that Texas is still one of the better places for Manning to play since the offense is so QB-friendly. But he also believes that Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian may not be the right guy to develop him personally.
McShay then mused that Manning might thrive if he transferred to the University of Kentucky to play under head coach Will Stein. He pointed out that Stein is responsible for turning Bo Nix, Dillon Gabriel and Dante Moore into stars.
Fans were not convinced.
Kentucky fans were not amused at the prospect of Manning joining their school considering how good Kenny Minchey has been for them this season.
“If Kenny Minchey returns for his last year, no way Arch winds up at UK,” one fan predicted on X.
“Kentucky is set for next year and years after. Thanks,” another said dismissively.
“No thanks, we have Kenny Minchey,” a third said.
“Say what you want, Kenny Minchey will be the starting QB for the Kentucky Wildcats next season.”

Minchey is completing 69-percent of his passes and has 1,755 yards and 14 touchdowns with just one interception along with two rushing touchdowns. The Wildcats are currently ranked in the top-10 for only the fourth season in the last 50 years.
By contrast, Manning is completing 63.3-percent of his passes and has 1,507 yards, 12 touchdowns and seven interceptions in seven games.
Will 2026 be Arch Manning’s last year in Texas? Assuming he comes back to college and transfers in 2027, where will he go?
