On3 and ESPN college football expert Josh Pate is facing scrutiny for his 2026 college football quarterback rankings, specifically within the Big Ten Conference.
Pate, who will have his own college football show at ESPN this fall, ranked the top 10 quarterbacks in the Big Ten, heading into the 2026 college football regular season, which starts later this month.
The ESPN and On3 college football expert has Ohio State's Julian Sayin over Oregon's Dante Moore at No. 1 overall. His full top 10 is below:

- Josh Hoover — Indiana
- Bryce Underwood — Michigan

But longtime college football and NFL Draft expert Todd McShay has problems with Pate's rankings heading into the 2026 season.
"With all due respect, Nico at 10 w/ Bryce at 5 is bordering on criminal… but to each their own. —and FYI; I’m out west, so this isn’t some weird 1:42am post," he shared.
