The Tennessee Titansare back and are currently in their preseason form, preparing for what the 2026 season has in store. While multiple players have posed as potential stars, none more than Elic Ayomanor, who has been on a tear since the Titans got back on the football field less than two weeks ago.
Unfortunately, Ayomanor suffered an injury during Thursday's practice, and he would be sidelined for the remainder of the event due to what appeared to be a shoulder injury. The injury that he suffered was following a mid-air collision and fight for the ball. His injury scared fans and had them concerned for what's to come for the season; however, the Titans received some good news on Friday ahead of the scrimmage.
Elic Ayomanor Returns to Action
The news that the Titans received was that the talented prospect would be playing in the scrimmage and was cleared to go. Fans were able to watch him in action, and he had a great performance on the night.
The talented player finished with a total of six catches on the night, which was second among all wide receivers on the roster. The only player with more catches in the day was Wan'Dale Robinson, who had a ridiculous day with nine total receptions.
Why This Return Is Huge for the Titans

Ayomanor's return is huge for this Titans team for more than just a depth perspective. While he is currently only expected to be a rotational wide receiver, he is still very young. Last season was his rookie year with the franchise, and in that season he posed as arguably the best wide receiver on the roster when playing up to the standards that the coaches wanted.
Since the new coaches have taken over, Ayomanor has been the one who has developed the quickest, as he is able to make the most of each rep and never looks back. He is someone who can self-critique and won't make the same mistake twice in most situations, which is something that the Titans have lacked for many years.
With Calvin Ridley being on his way out sooner rather than later, his development is going to be key, as the Titans will either have no choice but to trust him or they will have to find a new addition to add to the team.
