Titans Mock Draft Pick Would Reunite Jeremiah Smith With Carnell Tate

Who the Tennessee Titans should consider drafting from each team inside the top five of the first college football AP Poll.

The Tennessee Titans are progressing towards the season, but it is never too early to begin thinking about the NFL Draft. Following the first release of the college football AP Poll, I decided to put together a list of the ideal player from each of the top five programs that the Titans would select come the 2027 draft.

1. Ohio State – Jeremiah Smith, Wide Receiver

It is no secret that the Titans made a move to get Carnell Tate in their last draft. The player he was partnered with in college was Jeremiah Smith. Smith is the more NFL-ready receiver of the two, and arguably the best receiver at the college level since former Titans receiver Julio Jones.

2. Oregon Ducks – Koi Perich, Safety

Safety Koi Perich is with the Ducks following two seasons with the Minnesota Golden Gophers. While he has a long way to go to become an elite safety, his ball-hawking ability brings serious upside when considering drafting him in the NFL. He will draw plenty of comparisons to Bears rookie Dillon Thieneman because of the shared background, but between the two, if you want turnovers, Perich is the guy.

3. Georgia Bulldogs – Drew Bobo, Center

Drew Bobo is as good as it gets among centers at the college level. Is Bobo going to be a first-round selection? Probably not, but he has a real chance to be the next big thing at the position in the NFL. As for the Titans, he would be replacing a center who may not be the ideal long-term starter, Austin Schlottmann, a player who is already being counted out.

4. Notre Dame Fighting Irish – Leonard Moore, Cornerback

Come draft season, if the Titans need a cornerback, Moore could be the option at play. The Titans would need a high draft selection for this to make sense, but he is someone who will be viewed as a Sauce Gardner type of player, as he will have plenty of hype entering the draft. I believe he will be a future Pro Bowler at worst, which leaves me with no other choice on the board but Moore.

5. Texas Longhorns – Trevor Goosby, Offensive Tackle

While Colin Simmons was recently mocked to join the Titans by Luke Easterling of Athlon Sports, I believe Trevor Goosby is a better fit. The Titans need an offensive tackle, and need one fast, as their current starters are JC Latham and Dan Moore Jr. Both players are unproven and not playing to their value, leaving Goosby as a solid replacement.
