The Minnesota Timberwolves enter Game 2 of their Western Conference semifinal series against the San Antonio Spurs with a 1-0 lead, but they are still navigating multiple injury situations.

Those include the availability of guard Ayo Dosunmu and franchise player Anthony Edwards. The former missed the series opener entirely, and the latter, although coming off the bench, led Minnesota to a win on Monday.

Dosunmu was listed as questionable leading into Game 2 due to right calf soreness, the same issue that kept him out of both the Game 6 win over the Denver Nuggets and Game 1 against San Antonio. His absence extended across two consecutive games despite strong postseason production prior to the injury.

On Wednesday, Minnesota provided its final update on Dosunmu’s status. After missing two games, the Wolves confirmed that Dosunmu will finally return and be available for Game 2.

Before the injury, Dosunmu had been a key contributor for the Wolves, mostly following Donte DiVincenzo's season-ending injury.

Dosunmu is averaging 21.8 points per game on 60.9% shooting in five postseason games, one of them starting, including shooting a blistering 54.5% from three-point range. He also delivered a 43-point performance in Game 4 of the first-round series against Denver.

The Timberwolves opened the series with a 104-102 win over the Spurs in Game 1 despite being without Dosunmu but counted on a great performance by Edwards in his return to action.

Edwards logged 25 minutes off the bench, scoring 18 points, while Minnesota relied on Terrence Shannon Jr. in an expanded role with Dosunmu out. Shannon has started two games this playoffs and is averaging 14.5 points to go with three rebounds and 0.5 assists per game.

Game 2 is scheduled for Wednesday at 9:30 p.m. ET in San Antonio.
