Former Florida quarterback Tim Tebow was on Capitol Hill this Tuesday to tackle a very concerning issue in the United States.
Tebow, a two-time BCS national champion and former Heisman Trophy winner, testified before the House Judiciary Committee in March 2024 to highlight the child sexual abuse epidemic in the United States.
The college football legend returned to the nation's capital on March 3, 2026 to urge Congress to pass the Renewed Hope Act, which is designed to enhance the federal government's ability to rescue children from sexual abuse material.
"Please keep our team in your prayers for strength and wisdom today as we embark on an important mission," Tebow said. "We will be testifying in front of the Senate on behalf of child exploitation victims and survivors."
Tebow also shared a statement from his foundation before testifying Tuesday.
"While there are so many heroes working to identify and protect children who are being sexually exploited, they are simply overwhelmed, under-resourced, and outnumbered by offenders. Identifying one child is a labor-intensive process. Victim identification specialists must piece together clues from the images that can lead to the child’s country, city, or specific location. Only then can local law enforcement bring that child to safety and arrest the perpetrator," the Tim Tebow Foundation wrote.
"Lawmakers have drafted the Renewed Hope Act to help build a bigger rescue team of analysts and investigators to rescue these children, but getting a federal bill passed through Congress is incredibly difficult. We need you to help us continue what we have started on Capitol Hill to pass this bill. Encourage your representatives to call on House leadership to pass the Renewed Hope Act!"

Unsurprisingly, the majority of Tebow's fans are applauding his work this Tuesday.
"Thank you Tebow," one fan said.
"THIS IS A NO BRAINER Congress! We are all watching," a second fan said.
"Man I wish you were still playing lol but you're still doing amazing things," another person commaneted. "Prayers Always for you Tebow."
Time will tell if Tebow inspires Congress to pass the Renewed Hope Act.
