USMNT fans have been impressed with how Christian Pulisic started the 2025-26 season with AC Milan in the Serie A, despite missing multiple games due to injury.
The American forward remains AC Milan's top goalscorer in Serie A with 8 goals despite missing multiple games. Milan is second in the league and is seven points behind Inter Milan in the table.
With Pulisic returning and gaining more minutes with Milan, USMNT fans are hopeful that he is ready to make a significant impact during the 2026 World Cup. His start to the Serie A season made fans believe he was among the best players in the league.

One of those believers is USMNT legend Tim Howard. The former USMNT goalkeeper reacted to reports suggesting that Pulisic is linked to a move to a Premier League club after the World Cup.
Pulisic already played in the Premier League when he played for Chelsea from 2019 to 2023. A move to the Premier League seems like a great idea for Tim Howard, and he thinks Pulisic can replicate Premier League greats.
Tim Howard on Pulisic's Potential Premier League Return
On the Unfiltered Soccer Podcast, Tim Howard talks about why a Premier League return for Christian Pulisic will be a good move for his career, as he can elevate to a new level.
Despite having experience in the Premier League, Pulisic returning to the league with good experience at AC Milan could see him be a crucial player for top clubs in England, according to Tim Howard.
Howard mentions Kevin De Bruyne and Mohamed Salah leaving the Premier League and improving their football ability in other leagues. Both players returned to the Premier League and have become Premier League legends.
Howard said, "Kevin De Bruyne and Mo Salah, we know the finished product... Those are two of the best players in Premier League history. I remember Kevin De Bruyne at Chelsea, I remember Mo Salah at Chelsea; they weren't good enough, apparently. So they went abroad... They gained confidence, and they came back to the Premier League. History was written..."
Howard mentions Pulisic and said, "I sort of feel like that with Christian Pulisic as well...He sort of reminds me of Mo Salah and Kevin De Bruyne...He's put AC Milan on his back, he's been the best player in that league. So now I think from a sort of physical football maturity side, he now comes back to the Premier League and gets slotted into a Man United, Liverpool, Arsenal. I think there's another level for him."
