Divorces don't get much nastier than the one had by Tiger Woods and his ex-wife, Elin Nordegren.
Woods, one of the most famous athletes of all-time, was caught by his wife, Elin, in a major cheating scandal. The 15-time major champion was accused of having mistresses all over the country. Things boiled over when Woods was allegedly confronted by his wife on Thanksgiving Weekend in 2009. Tiger and Elin have both denied the rumors of the confrontation, though regardless of what happened, the couple ended up divorcing in August of 2010.
The former couple shares two children, Sam and Charlie. The younger Charlie is a high school golfer, committed to playing at Florida State University. His high school, The Benjamin School, won the Florida Class 1A state golf championship. It was his second state championship during his high school career.
Tiger and Elin reunited on stage to congratulate their son.
As mentioned previously, few relationships, if any, have had a more public and scrutinized divorce than Tiger and Elin.
But they came together on Tuesday night.
"Photos from the event show Tiger and Elin standing side-by-side, and while they weren't exactly chatting it up nonstop, everyone appeared to get along during their kids' big moment," TMZ Sports reported.
"It’s not the first time the two have come together for Charlie’s golf milestones -- they’ve consistently shown up to tournaments and big events, putting on a united front. When it comes to CW's budding career, Tiger and Elin have made one thing crystal clear: parenthood is bigger than the past."
It's great to see where they are now.
Elin is prioritizing her children over everything else
While Tiger and Elin are certainly cordial on stage, we don't know how they really feel about each other, years after the divorce.
But one thing is clear: they are prioritizing their children.
Elin is able to put whatever ill will she had or still has against Tiger in order to be there for their children. This was Charlie's moment, not one belonging to his parents. And mom and dad made sure to both be there for him.
It's great to see.
