WWE Superstar Tiffany Stratton has revealed which opponents concerned her most during the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match, and Roxanne Perez was high on that list. Her comments during WWE’s post-show have also caught attention because of her reference to Perez’s ongoing storyline with Liv Morgan.
“The Buff Barbie” won the briefcase at Money in the Bank 2026 on October 10 in New Orleans, defeating Perez, Lash Legend, Sol Ruca, Lola Vice, and Jacy Jayne. The victory made her a two-time Women’s Money in the Bank winner, joining Carmella as the only women to achieve the feat.
During the MITB post-show, Stratton was asked which of her five opponents she had been most concerned about facing. She singled out Legend for her strength before explaining why “The Prodigy” was another serious threat.
“Obviously, we have the powerhouse Lash Legend. So I was a little bit worried about her. She’s amazing. And Roxanne Perez. I think, you know, I didn’t feel like she was a sleeper going into this match. I feel like there was a lot of people rooting for her. However, she has that story with Liv, you know, Liv just won the title. Um, so I very much could have seen her being super hungry for that briefcase and doing whatever it took to climb up there and grab it.”
Stratton’s mention of Perez’s story with Morgan has prompted speculation among fans about what WWE might have planned for The Judgment Day. Morgan and Perez are aligned in the faction, and Liv Morgan reclaimed the Women’s World Championship by defeating Stephanie Vaquer and Becky Lynch in a Triple Threat Match at the same event.

Roxanne Perez entered the ladder match with significant support from fans, many of whom believed the briefcase could help elevate her position in WWE. Her loss to Stratton prompted criticism online, with some viewers questioning the decision and directing their frustration toward WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H.
The crowd’s support for Perez also became part of the conversation after the match, as fans argued that giving her the briefcase could have opened the door to a compelling storyline involving “The Miracle Kid” and The Judgment Day.
However, Stratton’s comments do not confirm that a split between Perez and Morgan is planned. Her reference to their existing storyline simply explains why she viewed Perez as a dangerous contender who might have been especially motivated to win.
With Morgan now holding the Women’s World Championship and Stratton carrying the briefcase, WWE has several possible directions for its women’s division. Whether Perez’s missed opportunity eventually leads to a rivalry with Morgan remains to be seen.
