The Tennessee Titans released the first edition of the depth chart, although the edition is unofficial, as expected. While there were many obvious things shown throughout the depth chart, there are also some key takeaways from the release. Here are the three things that stood out the most.
Nicholas Singleton Jr. Suffers Major Depth Chart Slide

The biggest takeaway that I had was the fact that rookie running back Nicholas Singleton was listed among the third-string and was the sixth running back on the depth chart. While he isn't exactly the expected starter for this season, it did seem reasonable to believe he could compete for the No. 2 job behind Tony Pollard. Singleton is going to be a star for the Titans, but he will need to receive some big reps.
Hendon Hooker May Take the No. 3 QB Spot From Will Levis

The Titans listed Hendon Hooker and Will Levis as the two quarterbacks fighting for the No. 3 quarterback spot, while Cam Ward is the obvious starter with Mitchell Trubisky playing the veteran No. 2 role for the Tennessee franchise. This is a bit of a shock, as Hooker hasn't even received team reps during the team period of practices. It is also known that Levis is battling with Trubisky, but it seems that Levis' true battle is with the former Vols quarterback.
Only Five Rookies Are Listed as a Second-String or Higher

The Titans' depth chart isn't very favorable to the rookies. The only rookie in the starting lineup is Carnell Tate, who is a wide receiver for the Titans. He joined the roster for his first NFL season following an electric Ohio State Buckeyes career. The other four remain on the second-string, as Fernando Carmona, Jackie Marshall, Keldric Faulk, and Anthony Hill Jr. Each of these four has the chance to be a starter at some point, but is currently labeled as a backup on the first depth chart.
