Brandon Aiyuk's name remains a fixture in many debates and trade speculation. The San Francisco 49ers wide receiver last played in an NFL game in the 2024 season, missing the entire 2025 campaign while recovering from knee injuries.
However, the team placed him on the reserve/left squad list due to lack of participation and voided his guaranteed money. Aiyuk's future has since been up in the air, with no trade coming to fruition.
He has proven that he can produce impressive numbers, as in his best season in 2023. The Arizona State product registered 75 receptions for a career-high 1,342 yards, along with seven touchdowns.
It remains to be seen which team will sign him next, but his status is unclear.

Ex-49ers Exec Shares Thoughts On Bradon's Aiyuk's Recent Behavior
Aiyuk has shown displeasure with his situation with San Francisco. He is disgruntled, and it appears that neither side will likely be able to smooth things out. Former 49ers director of pro personnel Ran Carthon raised considerable concern about the wideout's recent behavior.
"This isn’t the Brandon Aiyuk I know," Carthon said, via Pro Football Talk. "Now, I know him to be stubborn, so I know that part about him. But this recent behavior, I’m not as familiar with. And the other part of it, to be quite honest, in this day and age with these guys, it could just be him trolling with the most recent video, knowing that he will get a reaction."
The 28-year-old posted a series of cryptic videos on social media, hinting at a potential move soon. He also called out Jayden Daniels on Instagram despite previously expressing his desire to play for the team. Aiyuk's comments to the quarterback, "Stop running your mama and I might believe what you’re talking about," went viral. They were college teammates.
Aiyuk also has a history with Commanders general manager Adam Peters. The front office executive served as San Francisco's vice president of player personnel from 2017 to 2020, playing a key role in selecting Aiyuk in the draft. The organization promoted him to assistant general manager before being promoted to GM.
