It doesn’t sound like Nick Bosa will be available this Sunday when the San Francisco 49ers face the Arizona Cardinals.
The 49ers confirmed on Thursday that Bosa is battling injuries to his knee and calf, much to the displeasure of their fan base. The severity of his injuries is unknown at this time, but the latest report is quite concerning. According to Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports, the 49ers are concerned that Bosa is dealing with a “serious” injury that could force him to miss multiple weeks.
“If he’s not out for the season, he’s out multiple weeks,” Chan reported, via 95.7 The Game.
This report from Chan hasn’t been confirmed or denied by the 49ers. If anything, the organization has been awfully quiet about Bosa’s status.

Injuries have been an issue for Bosa.
When healthy, Bosa is one of the best pass rushers in football. The former No. 2 pick from Ohio State has 285 career tackles, 169 QB hits and 64.5 sacks since going pro.
Unfortunately, Bosa has suffered a torn ACL twice since the 2020 season. His last injury forced him to miss all but three games in 2025.
If Bosa is out for an extended period of time, the 49ers will need to consider trading for a defensive lineman.
