2026 Fantasy Football Sleeper QBs
Tyler Shough, New Orleans Saints
A strong finish to his rookie season established Shough as New Orleans’ unquestioned starter entering 2026. He led all rookie quarterbacks in passing yards per game and completion percentage while finishing second in passer rating. The 26-year-old sophomore has sneaky athleticism for bonus points, adding three rushing touchdowns. A full offseason in Kellen Moore’s system should improve his command and chemistry with Chris Olave, Juwan Johnson, and Travis Etienne, but two August injuries have thinned his supporting cast. Reports put Jordyn Tyson’s absence at around two months because of a significant hamstring injury, while Alvin Kamara will miss roughly a month with an MCL sprain. Those losses temper Shough’s early-season ceiling, but he’s still a useful streamer with the right matchup. He’s an intriguing QB2 value target in superflex or best-ball.
Kyler Murray, Minnesota Vikings
Minnesota gives Murray the strongest collection of receiving weapons he has played with, led by Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, Jauan Jennings, and T.J. Hockenson. More importantly, the Vikings named Murray their starting quarterback on Aug. 11, removing the uncertainty that had suppressed his fantasy draft value. He averaged 36.7 rushing yards per game across seven seasons and exceeded 500 rushing yards three times. Injuries remain a concern, but Murray’s combination of rushing production, proven NFL experience, strong supporting cast, and Kevin O’Connell’s offense gives him legitimate QB1 upside at a discounted draft price.
Aaron Rodgers, Pittsburgh Steelers
This offense will in no way resemble the boring, predictable system Arthur Smith ran in 2025. The reunion with Mike McCarthy provides Rodgers with familiarity after he delivered 3,322 passing yards, 24 TDs, and seven interceptions for Pittsburgh in 2025. His nonexistent rushing production lowers his weekly ceiling, but efficient passing and a basement-level interception rate can keep him useful in favorable matchups. DK Metcalf gives Rodgers an established vertical target and Michael Pittman Jr. comes over to create a towering one-two combo. Pittsburgh’s otherwise experienced supporting cast offers stability. Another season in the same organization, combined with McCarthy calling the plays, makes Rodgers a reasonable late-round option in superflex and best-ball formats — even in his age-43 season. Don’t be totally shocked if he sneaks into the top 15 quarterbacks by year’s end.
C.J. Stroud, Houston Texans
Two uneven seasons following his outstanding rookie campaign have lowered Stroud’s fantasy cost, and rightfully so. He finished 2025 with 3,041 passing yards, 19 touchdowns, and eight interceptions in 14 games, but his talent and connection with Nico Collins still support a rebound. Houston also responded to Jayden Higgins’ season-ending ACL tear by acquiring Kayshon Boutte, who gives Stroud another proven outside target after producing 551 yards and six touchdowns for New England last season. Tank Dell’s return adds another explosive option, while Jaylin Noel provides additional depth and Dalton Schultz is a reliable underneath target. Stroud’s limited rushing caps his ceiling, but the improved receiving corps gives him a better chance to regain his passing efficiency and emerge as a dependable matchup starter or useful backup to an elite fantasy quarterback.
