The 2026 ESPYS took place in New York City on Wednesday night.
The 2026 show was hosted by Marcello Hernandez of "Saturday Night Live" fame. His opening monologue was about 10 minutes long and featured shots at Tiger Woods, Bill Belichick, Shane Gillis, WNBA wives and more.
Much of the 2026 ESPYS centered on the New York Knicks and their 2026 championship. Jalen Brunson received three different awards as he and his teammates, including Karl-Anthony Towns and OG Anunoby, were present at the awards show.
But NASCAR fans weren't thrilled with a lack of promotion during the 2026 edition of The ESPYS. Fans are accusing ESPN of "disrespecting" NASCAR during the 2026 show.

NASCAR fans were hoping for more in the form of a tribute segment to the late Kyle Busch, who died at 41 years old earlier this summer.
Others were disappointed by the Best NASCAR Driver award not being featured prominently on the broadcast.
NASCAR fans bothered by The ESPYS
"Can someone tell me when Best Driver at the ESPYs is announced so I can be mad about it," one fan asked.
He later added: "Not only was Best Driver not announced during the actual Awards Show but I'm pretty sure they didn't do an In Memoriam segment either (was looking out for any mention of Kyle Busch, Greg Biffle etc.) At least the Knicks won everything under the sun I guess."
NASCAR fans weren't too surprised, though.
"At this point if you’re watching ESPN for anything auto racing, you’re really wasting your time," one fan added.
"ESPN isn't interested in acknowledging sports they don't air themselves," another wrote.
"Not cool. Then again, didn’t expect them to dedicate even a tiny segment on Kyle (who was an ESPY winner!)," one fan added.
