The Daytona 500's start time has officially been changed.
On Sunday, NASCAR officials announced that the 2026 Cup Series race will be pushed up, due to inclement weather in the area. There's a chance of storms in Florida throughout much of Sunday afternoon.
So, the race, which was scheduled to begin at 3:13 p.m. E.T., is instead being pushed up one hour, to 2:13 p.m. E.T. FOX's broadcast will start earlier as a result, too. The prerace coverage began with NASCAR RaceDay at 11:30 a.m. ET. Official race coverage will start at 1:30 p.m. E.T.

President Trump released a statement on the race on Sunday.
