A pair of Texas lawyers have accused Milwaukee, Wisconsin police officers of trying to "embarrass" Tony Romo with the release of his OWI arrest video.
Romo, 46, was pulled over on a Milwaukee, Wisconsin highway last week. Romo was taken into custody and told to perform a field sobriety test. Romo was ultimately arrested on suspicion of OWI.
Police have since stated that they found an open bottle of alcohol in his vehicle. Romo denied having anything to drink, stating that he had came from a golf tournament. The former Dallas Cowboys quarterback did not appear belligerent in the video shared by police.
However, two prominent Texas attorneys have accused Milwaukee, Wisconsin police of trying to "embarrass" Romo with the release of the bodycam video. The lawyers made it clear that it should typically take weeks or months for a bodycam video to come out. However, the video was quickly shared online.

"I don't like that at all," the Texas lawyer said.
"I like Tony Romo. I hope that more facts come to light that say he's not as culpable."
The lawyers added that Romo handled himself as well as possible, coming across as polite, kind and likable, among other things.

The network which employs Romo is reportedly holding firm on his employment status, despite his arrest.
"I don't want to act like it's not a big deal, because it is. But it's not going to get him fired," one unnamed executive told the Daily Mail.
It doesn't sound like any further punishment is coming.
"Thankfully, Tony didn't hurt himself or anyone else, and most importantly, no lives were lost. He knows he made a terrible decision and is well aware of it and he knows he disappointed not only himself, but those he works with and family," the second source told them.
"He contacted his bosses almost immediately to let them know what had happened because he understood the story would spread quickly once it became public. He's already canceled his appearance at the golf tournament he was scheduled to attend and play in, and over the next few weeks he's looking to keep a low profile while focusing on getting himself ready for the upcoming season.
"In the meantime, he'll deal with the legal process, comply with whatever the court decides, and let his attorneys handle the situation as they work toward resolving the matter. His goal is to put this behind him as quickly as possible.
"As for his job, he won't be fired. While the incident is unquestionably serious, those around him view it as an isolated lapse in judgment rather than something that defines him."
