The Tennessee Titansreturned to practice on Thursday after their single-day break to help get their bodies back on track. There were many key talking points from the practice, including an injury to one of the top wide receivers on the roster.
Elic Ayomanor Suffers an Injury During Thursday's Practice

The Titans' wide receiver exited practice with an injury, according to Jim Wyatt. He left the field with a trainer after suffering what appeared to be a shoulder injury, which was later confirmed by head coach Robert Saleh. Saleh detailed that the talented wide receiver suffered the injury on a bang-bang play between him and Kevin Winston Jr. in the air when competing for the ball.
He seems stable, but there has yet to be a diagnosis released, which means the Titans will once again play a waiting game, the same way that they did with left tackle Dan Moore Jr., who was back on the field with the Titans on Thursday.
While the severity of the injury remains unknown, it does seem that he is stable, and the injury shouldn't be long-term. That would be the best-case scenario for the Titans, especially after the performances that Ayomanor has had thus far.
The Titans Need Elic Ayomanor
Since the beginning of practice, Ayomanor has been the most outstanding wide receiver for the franchise. He has had the most receiving touchdowns and has been a premier target for all three quarterbacks who have been getting reps in team period. He has dominated the competition, showcasing that he is great working across the middle, and he is even better when it comes to yards after the catch.
While Ayomanor was a starter for the Titans a season ago, he is more expected to be a rotational wide receiver, although he has been looking to earn his starting gig back with the Titans. Ayomanor finished last season with a total of 41 receptions, while also finishing the season with 515 receiving yards and four receiving touchdowns. This made him one of the premier receivers on the roster.
The Titans need Ayomanor healthy ahead of the 2026 season, so they can get off to the start that everyone, including coach Saleh, knows that they can.
