The Seattle Seahawks are looking to get back on the winning track in NFL Week 4.
The team suffered a disappointing loss in Week 3, but for the most part, they’ve still looked like one of the NFL’s best teams. There have been a few spots on the team to point to that have been disappointing, such as the running back room and pass rush.
Last year, the Seahawks had a very solid and reliable pass rush. There wasn’t one dominant edge rusher; it was instead a reliable team effort. So far this year, there just hasn’t been much of a pass rush at all.
As a result, the team could scour the trade market ahead of November’s deadline.
Seahawks Could Add Titans’ Jermaine Johnson II

Brendon Nelson of Seahawks OnSI recently identified some realistic trade targets for the Seahawks.
Jermaine Johnson II of the Tennessee Titans makes a ton of sense. The Titans just traded for Johnson this offseason, but he’s a free agent after this season, and the Titans look like possibly the worst team in the league.
“(Johnson’s) been strong against the run, but ineffective as a pass rusher so far this year according to PFF,” said Nelson. “But he’s in the final year of his rookie deal and should come cheap. Maybe Mike (Macdonald) could get the best out of him, and maybe he could even turn into a long-term piece for the Seattle Dark Side Defense. Worth a phone call.”
As Nelson mentioned, Johnson has not been the most productive pass rusher over the last two seasons. However, he still grades out well as a run defender at the very least, and playing for a winner could bring the best out of him.
The Titans probably don’t want to get rid of Johnson. The edge rusher is a favorite of head coach Robert Saleh, and it’s not like the Titans have a ton of other talented edge rushers.
However, the Titans have to be realistic. If Johnson doesn’t want to re-sign, the team should see what they can get for him.
In Seattle, Johnson could be a perfect backup to rotate in behind DeMarcus Lawrence, Uchenna Nwosu, and Derick Hall. Hall is the only true edge rusher with a sack for the Seahawks this season.
