Unfortunately, a 17-year-old was attacked just minutes after the New York Knicks won Game 4 of the NBA Finals.
The Knicks erased a 29-point deficit to take a commanding 3-1 series lead over the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals. While the fans in New York City certainly deserve to celebrate, it appears some people are incapable of behaving themselves.
According to the New York Police Department, a group of Knicks fans attacked a teenager outside 235 West 35th Street at around 11:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
"The fight apparently began with a content creator allegedly provoking Knicks fans," ABC Eyewitness News reported. "Detectives have reviewed cellphone video that shows the content creator interviewing a member of the crowd.
"The content creator asked members of the crowd, "Who do you got?" And one person said 'I've got the Knicks.' A person with content creator, in an apparent attempt to provoke the crowd for social media, responded, 'Spurs in 7.' The person being interviewed responded, 'Go Knicks, suck my (expletive).' A fight then ensued."

What's the latest on the victim?
The NYPD confirmed the victim was kicked multiple times in the head and body during Wednesday's attack. It was such a vicious beatdown that the teen is currently in a coma.
"WANTED FOR GANG ASSAULT: On Wednesday night after the Knicks game, a group approached a 17-year-old near 237 W 35th St and got into an argument," the NYPD wrote on social media Friday. "This individual punched and kicked the teen. He had a seizure and was in a coma. Any info? DM @NYPDTips or call 800-577-TIPS."
We're certainly hoping the teenager makes a full and speedy recovery.
