A beloved cheerleader has tragically been found dead at 19 years old.
Freya MacLean, a 19-year-old cheerleader from the United Kingdom, was found deceased at a waterfall in Scotland. She apparently had some difficulty getting into the water. MacLean's body was found at the Falls of Falloch at around 11:45 a.m. local time the following morning.
There are currently no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death, though the exact cause is undetermined.
“Her next of kin have been made aware,” police said. “Her death is being treated as unexplained, but there are no apparent suspicious circumstances.”

Her parents described their daughter as a beautiful soul.
“Beloved by family, friends and the wider community, Freya was a truly beautiful soul whose kindness knew no bounds,” they told Scottish outlet the Daily Record.
“Her warm smile, infectious laughter and caring heart brought comfort and joy to everyone she met,” they continued. “Always generous with her time, she was the friend people turned to, offering unwavering support, encouragement and compassion.”
The 19-year-old cheerleader constantly lit up a room, as friends and family loved "her love, humor and gentle spirit have left an everlasting mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.”
“Though her time with us was far too short, her legacy of kindness and love will live on forever,” they added. “The family appreciate the support of friends and family and ask that the general public remain respectful of their privacy at this time.”
JC Dance and Cheer Academy released a statement on her passing.
“Freya truly made such a huge impact on all of our girls. She was one of those truly special girls who made everyone feel like a friend,” the tribute began. “She had the most infectious personality, a heart full of kindness and supportive to everyone.”
The statement added that she was: “never passed anyone without giving them the warmest smile and was always so cheerful, full of life, and a joy to be around. She had the funniest sense of humor, was always making people laugh, and brought so much fun to our classes. Her infectious personality and beautiful spirit lit up every room, and she will be missed more than words can say.”
