Taylor Swift is back at Arrowhead Stadium, and her outfit for the Kansas City Chiefs’ season opener is officially getting its moment.
Swift attended Monday night’s Chiefs game against the Denver Broncos to support Travis Kelce as Kansas City kicked off its 2026 NFL season on Monday Night Football.
For the occasion, Swift went with a much different look than some of the Chiefs-specific outfits she has worn in the past.
Swift was photographed wearing a red plaid short-sleeve shirt as she made her appearance in Kansas City.
The look didn’t rely on a Chiefs jersey or Kelce’s famous No. 87 to make the connection. Instead, Swift opted for a predominantly simple outfit for one of the biggest games on the opening-week NFL schedule.
A look at Swift’s Monday night outfit was shared on X as she arrived for the Chiefs’ matchup.
Taylor Swift Returns for Travis Kelce’s Chiefs Opener
Swift’s appearance shouldn’t come as much of a surprise.
She has become a regular at Chiefs games while supporting Kelce, with her arrival and game-day fashion routinely becoming a major storyline surrounding Kansas City.
The outfits have varied considerably.
Swift has worn everything from Chiefs jackets and team colors to customized pieces connected directly to Kelce. This time, she went in another direction with a black top, plaid mini skirt and tall boots.
That should make the outfit particularly interesting to fans searching for Swift’s latest game-day look.

Monday night also represents the beginning of another important season for Kelce.
The veteran tight end returned for another year with Kansas City and remains one of Patrick Mahomes’ most important offensive weapons.
The matchup with Denver provided a major stage for his season debut, with the AFC West rivals meeting under the Monday Night Football spotlight.
And once again, Swift was there to see it.
Her presence has become a familiar part of the atmosphere surrounding marquee Chiefs games, but the outfit is rarely predictable.
For Kansas City’s 2026 opener, Swift skipped the obvious No. 87 look and went with something completely different.
